Gun Photos Digital Image Licence

The Gun Photos website is owned and operated by Visual Shop Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom.

Throughout these Terms & Conditions, references to “Gun Photos”, “we”, “our” or “us” refer to Visual Shop Ltd, which is responsible for the operation of the website, the sale and licensing of downloadable digital images, customer support and payment processing.

All purchases made through the Gun Photos website are subject to these Terms & Conditions and the applicable laws of England and Wales.

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By purchasing and downloading any digital image from Gun Photos, you agree to these Image Licence Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not download, use or distribute the images.

2. Licence Granted

Upon successful payment, Gun Photos grants you a non-exclusive, royalty-free, lifetime licence to use the purchased image(s).

The licence is provided for a one-time payment with no ongoing royalty fees.

This licence allows you to use the purchased image(s) for both personal and commercial purposes, subject to the restrictions outlined below.

3. Permitted Uses

The licence permits you to:

  • Use the image(s) on your website.
  • Use the image(s) on e-commerce product pages.
  • Use the image(s) on blogs and editorial content.
  • Use the image(s) across social media platforms.
  • Use the image(s) in digital marketing, newsletters and email campaigns.
  • Use the image(s) in printed marketing materials, catalogues and brochures.
  • Resize, crop or adjust the image(s) where necessary for your intended use.
  • Use the image(s) indefinitely under the terms of this licence.

4. Restrictions

The licence does not permit you to:

  • Sell, sublicense, lease, rent or redistribute the original image files.
  • Share the original downloadable files with any third party.
  • Upload the original files to stock photography websites or image libraries.
  • Include the original files in templates, themes or products intended for resale.
  • Claim ownership or copyright of the image(s).
  • Remove or alter any embedded ownership or tracking metadata.
  • Make the image(s) available for download by others.

Each purchase grants a licence to the purchaser only and may not be transferred without written permission from Gun Photos.

5. Embedded Metadata

All downloadable images supplied by Gun Photos are delivered without visible watermarks.

However, each image contains embedded metadata and other ownership information that may be used to identify the source of the image and assist in tracking unauthorised distribution or misuse.

Unauthorised redistribution, resale or unlawful use of our images may result in legal action.

6. Watermark Recommendation

As all purchased images are supplied without a visible watermark, we strongly recommend that customers apply their own watermark before publishing images online, particularly on websites, marketplaces, social media or other digital channels.

Applying your own watermark can help reduce unauthorised copying and protect your own published content.

7. Copyright

All copyright and intellectual property rights remain the exclusive property of Gun Photos and/or its licensors.

Purchasing an image grants you a licence to use the image – it does not transfer ownership or copyright.

8. Refunds

Due to the nature of downloadable digital products, all sales are considered final once the image has been downloaded.

Refunds will only be considered where required under applicable UK consumer law or where Gun Photos determines that exceptional circumstances apply.

9. Breach of Licence

Any breach of these licence terms may result in:

  • Immediate termination of your licence.
  • Withdrawal of access to future downloads.
  • Requests for removal of unauthorised content.
  • Legal action to recover damages where appropriate.

10. Limitation of Liability

Gun Photos shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use or inability to use the purchased images.

The customer is responsible for ensuring the images are suitable for their intended purpose and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

11. Changes to These Terms

Gun Photos reserves the right to update or amend these Image Licence Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will apply to purchases made after the revised terms have been published.

12. Payment

All purchases of downloadable images are processed securely through the PayPal Payment Gateway.

Customers may pay using either:

  • PayPal
  • Major credit or debit cards via the PayPal Card Payment Gateway (a PayPal account is not required for eligible card payments).

Gun Photos does not collect, process or store your credit or debit card details on our website or within our platform. All payment information is handled securely by PayPal in accordance with its own security standards and privacy policies.

Please note that payments for purchases made on the Gun Photos website will appear on your bank or card statement as being processed by Visual Shop Ltd via PayPal. This is the authorised payment account used to process transactions on behalf of Gun Photos.
